Our Practice

We are dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and professional care to our patients.

EMG & Rehabilitation Physicians is a group of specialists in Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  All physicians in our group are board certified or board-eligible in the specialties of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. We have an out-patient practice location at Kettering Health-Miamisburg as well as in-patient services at Post Acute Medical, Kettering Health-Hamilton, and Kettering Health-Main Campus.

Our Physicians

 Through the years, we have mastered the best practices in performing EMG exams and providing accurate diagnostic results that are useful to your physician. Our Board-Certified team brings decades of experience to your care.

Richard T. Beers, M.D.

Dr. Beers graduated from the Wright State University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Kettering Medical Center. He then completed his medical training at The Ohio State University in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Beers began his practice at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in 1989 before assuming the Medical Directorship of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Kettering Medical Center in 2000. He is also the Medical Director of Rehabilitation at LifeCare Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. His primary interests are inpatient rehabilitation, electrodiagnostic medicine, and sports medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Jon K. Kronberg, M.D.

After graduating from the University of Cincinnati for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Kronberg attended University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for his medical school training. He then completed his residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Kronberg began his practice at Kettering Medical Center in 2012. He is one of the Medical Directors of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Kettering Medical Center. His primary interests are in electrodiagnostic medicine, sports medicine, and inpatient rehabilitation. He is board certified by both the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Ryan Hinman, M.D.

After completing his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University, Dr. Hinman completed his postgraduate medical education at the Wright State University School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his intern year at Kettering Medical Center followed by his specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University. Dr. Hinman began his practice at Kettering Medical Center in 2014. He is one of the Medical Directors of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Kettering Medical Center. His primary interests are in electrodiagnostic medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, and inpatient rehabilitation. He is board certified by both the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Mark F. Shoreman, M.D.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from St. Louis University, Dr. Shoreman attended the Wright State University School of Medicine. Thereafter, at The Ohio State University, he completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Shoreman then acquired fellowship training with Beacon Sports Medicine & Orthopedics/TriHealth in Cincinnati Ohio where he obtained ACGME certified sports medicine, non-operative orthopedic, and regenerative medicine training. While in Cincinnati he served as team physician for Xavier University, Mount St. Joseph University and Norwood High/Middle School. Dr. Shoreman is proficient in diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided interventions. He is passionate about the innovative, minimally interventional, fiscally favorable treatment options that ultrasound offers patients today. Additionally he is inspired to keep up to date on best practice recommendations in the currently expanding field of regenerative medicine (ex. Platelet Rich Plasma, PRP, Prolotherapy). Dr. Shoreman specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of joint, tendon, muscle, peripheral nerve, and soft tissue injuries across the body, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle and foot. Additional practice focuses include electrodiagnostics, spasticity management (localized Botox administration), and inpatient rehabilitation. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as board eligible in Sports Medicine, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
